Día de Muertos

Día de Muertos

After watching this short video, what are some ways that the Mexican culture is represented in this Film Short?

  1. The video was a cute presentation of the Mexican holiday, Día de Muertos. The two major ways that I saw Mexican culture represented were through the music and the decorations, all of which reminded me of another celebrated holiday, Cinco de Mayo. The costumes represented what we would see in the Mexican culture also.

    1. The music and decorations are definitely a good indication of Mexican culture. Also, contrary to popular belief, Cinco de Mayo is actually more of an American celebrated holiday!

  2. The most obvious representation of of Mexican culture is that it illustrates that the dead are celebrated and their spirits look after the living.
